Scheme Overview & Benefits
This infrastructure scheme implemented by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Gujarat aims to expand decentralized rural storage and scientific warehousing. Under this scheme, Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS), marketing societies, and eligible cooperative agricultural entities constructing new agricultural godowns are entitled to a 25% capital subsidy on the total approved construction cost, along with interest subvention on institutional term loans availed from District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCB) or commercial banks. The scheme eliminates distress sales by allowing farmers to store grains, oilseeds, and inputs safely in local cooperative godowns.
