Last Date to Apply

Scheme Overview & Benefits
To aggressively promote fruit orchard development and diversify traditional cropping patterns across Gujarat, the Directorate of Horticulture offers up to 90% financial assistance on the cost of certified planting materials (grafts, tissue culture saplings, and rooted cutting stocks) of perennial fruit crops. Eligible crops include high-density Mango, Guava, Acid Lime (Lemon), Pomegranate, Ber (Jujube), Papaya, Custard Apple, Dragon Fruit (Kamalam), and Chikoo. By subsidizing 90% of the planting material cost directly into the farmer's DBT account, the scheme dramatically reduces initial orchard setup capital and encourages farmers to transition toward high-income commercial horticulture.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be an agricultural landholder in Gujarat with clear 7/12 & 8-A land ownership.
High priority and maximum benefits are accorded to Small & Marginal farmers, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Women farmers.
Planting materials must be procured only from government nurseries, agricultural universities (AAU, JAU, NAU, SDAU), or government-accredited nurseries.
The farmer must have reliable irrigation facility (drip irrigation preferred) on the proposed orchard plot.
Online application can be tracked via myScheme / i-Khedut portal throughout the financial year up to 31/03/2027.
