Scheme Overview & Benefits
Provides timely short-term credit and working capital loans up to Rs. 3,00,000 for agriculture, dairy, poultry, and fisheries at a highly concessional interest rate. Normal bank interest is 9%, with 1.5% subvention by Government bringing it to 7%. Farmers who repay their dues on time receive an additional 3% Prompt Repayment Incentive (PRI), resulting in an effective net interest rate of just 4% per annum. Collateral-free loans are available up to Rs. 1,60,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Individual farmers, joint borrowers, tenant farmers, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, or fisheries.
