Scheme Overview & Benefits
The Government of Gujarat under the Directorate of Horticulture has introduced a financial assistance scheme for the rejuvenation and restoration of old, senile, and declining productivity orchards of Mango and Acid Lime (Lemon). Under this program, farmers are provided a 50% subsidy up to ₹20,000 per hectare for canopy management, severe pruning, tree surgery, soil amendment, organic fertigation, and plant health recovery treatments to restore peak commercial bearing capacity. The assistance is provided up to a maximum ceiling of 4 hectares per beneficiary farmer.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicant must be a bona fide farmer of Gujarat possessing 7/12 & 8-A land records. 2. Must own an existing Mango/Acid Lime orchard older than 15-20 years. 3. Prior approval from District Horticulture Officer is mandatory before commencing pruning work. 4. Active bank account linked with Aadhaar. 5. Maximum limit is 4 hectares per beneficiary.
