Scheme Overview & Benefits
Special welfare scheme implemented by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Gujarat, for Schedule Tribe (ST) tribal farmers to foster indigenous cattle preservation and expand natural farming in tribal areas. Beneficiaries are granted 35% financial assistance, up to a maximum of ₹28,000/-, on the acquisition of two indigenous breed cows (Gir/Kankrej). The scheme promotes self-reliance and sustainable agro-pastoral livelihoods through bio-fertilizer production and nutritious A2 dairy produce.
Eligibility Criteria
Schedule Tribe (ST) tribal farmers residing in Gujarat with valid tribal caste certificate who have undergone certified Natural Farming training from the ATMA project office. Beneficiaries must complete livestock purchase through institutional finance or self-finance post official approval.
